Our process
We aim to reduce costs by the application of our knowledge and experience to improve
Efficiency, promote Value Engineering and seek appropriate Cost Savings. We also ensure
that the correct contractual procedures are followed enabling claims and variations to be
presented and agreed during the Project Construction period, protecting our Client from
unwanted financial ‘surprises’.
These objectives are achieved with the help of a Project Management Team (PMT).
The main function of the PMT is to provide management and organizational expertise,
enabling Client to focus on the technical demands of the project.
Pre Contract (Design Phase)
• Assist the client in the preparation of the Project Brief
• Establish the Communication Plan
• Establish Project Processes
• Identify and advise the Client on any deficiencies in the Consultants’ briefs
• Develop Sub-Consultants briefs with the Lead Consultant
• Ensure design co-ordination is managed correctly by the Lead Designer
• Define time schedule for design delivery with the design team & manage compliance.
• Establish key milestones for Statutory Authority submissions & manage compliance.
• Discuss and agree the procurement strategy with the Client and design team
• Establish Project Plan
• Issue monthly reports on progress
• Attend design workshops
• Monitor and contribute to the value engineering process

Pre Contract (Design Phase)
Close Out of Defects Liability Period / Final Certification
• Monitor the close out of snag items with the lead Consultant
• Ensure the end of the Defects Liability Period processes are satisfactorily completed
• Convene and chair progress meetings
• Review proposals for Sub-Contractors and specialist suppliers
• Provide input into build ability at design phase
• Monitor and report on change through the design process.
• Change control will be established and complied with by the Lead Designer &
Quantity Surveyor
• Update Project Plan at key milestones
• Agree acceptable Conditions of Contract for Consultant and Contractors
• Conduct pre-qualification of tenderers
• Ensure that the commercial and technical evaluations are performed by the Lead Consultant &
Quantity Surveyor.
• Make recommendations for appointment of Contractors
• Agree the site supervision team with the lead Consultant and specialist Consultants
• Ensure the lead Consultant fulfils his duties as the ‘Engineer’ Ensure that all
submittals, approvals, inspections, information requests are dealt with in a timely manner
• Monitor the nomination of Contractors and Suppliers
• Monitor the procurement of long lead items
• Convene and chair regular progress meetings
• Prepare monthly progress reports
• Monitor the control of quality, safety and environmental issues
• Review monthly valuations and recommend payments
• Monitor and effect change control
• Monitor the performance of all appointed Consultant/s and Contractor/s
• Manage the project completion and handover processes
